Hunter Education - Welcome

Game and Parks has introduced some new options for those interested in hunter education. Nebraskans now have two certification options (classroom course or online course) for both firearm and bowhunter education in two different age brackets. The classroom course is free, while there is a fee for the online course.

Students 11-15 years-old can complete their hunter education certification through a 10 hour classroom course or the online course followed by a two-hour hunt safe session.

Students ages 16 and over are offered a 10-hour classroom course or an online course. Participation in a Hunt Safe Session is optional for this age group.
