Passing Along The Heritage

A new partnership designed to assist quality mentors in helping youth to STEP OUTSIDE and into the hunting fields of Nebraska

At the heart of this program is a land database that allows for public access by permission slip on private lands for the specific purpose of mentoring Nebraska youth under age 18. These partners have assembled this opportunity for you because of their

strong belief in the importance of passing along our hunting heritage to the next generation.

In order to take advantage of these quality private lands, you must first locate PATH lands and available dates in your county Click here.

In order to access these quality private lands, you must download a free permit from this site. Please take a moment to accurately answer all questions. Only persons 18 or older may access these permits for the specific purpose of finding private lands to mentor young kids for hunting. Only the youth may hunt. The mentor is there to help the youth and provide a good hunting experience for them.

Once the permission slip is printed, you must have this slip with you while accessing a specific property. All PATH Lands will be marked with blue signs. For the purpose of this program, only PATH program participants may access these properties for hunting

during approved dates once they have obtained a PATH permission slip from this page. Please remember that all State of Nebraska and Federal regulations apply to this program and special rules may apply for each parcel of land and will be noted as you move forward on this site.

Attention Landowners: If you are interested in signing up for this program, please contact your nearest NGPC District Office. Landowners can choose specific days and types of hunting offered.

Your participation in this program will ensure that our hunting heritage is passed on to the next generation.
