Grand Opening for the Danish Alps State Recreation Area Scheduled for August 1

746-acre area Danish Alps State Recreation Area (SRA) near Hubbard will hold a Grand Opening on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration will be open to the public and will offer boat tours, fishing demonstrations and other activities.

Voluntary Firewood Restriction
Help Prevent Emerald Ash Borers in Nebraska

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a serious pest that is near Nebraska’s border.  Your cooperation is needed to help prevent EAB from invading Nebraska woodlands and landscapes.
If you have brought firewood from another state, please burn it immediately and DO NOT transport it to another location. In addition to the Voluntary Firewood Restriction a Voluntary Firewood Exchange is in affect at Niobrara SP, Ponca SP, E.T. Mahoney SP, Indian Cave SP and Pawnee SRA, Lewis and Clark SRA, Two Rivers SRA and Branched Oak SRA.
