Nebraska
State Parks is in the process of revising the “Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation
Plan” for 2011. The SCORP maintains Nebraska’s
eligibility to participate in the Land
and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) program in addition
to helping communities plan for recreation in the future.
This plan assesses both the supply and demand of outdoor recreational facilities
across the state. The plan gives Nebraska the direction and priorities necessary
for strong outdoor recreation programs for all levels of government as well as
the private sector. It addresses the issues in Nebraska regarding recreation
and provides solutions to the issues.
