Trails - Explore

MAP (GIS) - Nebraska Game and Parks has undertaken a statewide project to map as many public recreational trails as possible on an interactive map and become a clearinghouse for trails. Currently there are some State Parks’ trails mapped.  We will continue mapping the trails within the State Park System and hope to have all trails mapped by the end of 2012, early 2013. 

Once those trails are completed, we will work to partner with communities to include their trails on this map.  This project is made possible through funding of the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration. This mapping system includes detailed information on the type of trail it is, the amenities along the trails, trailhead locations and photos of what you’ll see on the trail.
